Great News! Your domain registrar supports instant setup of DMARC reporting and SPF compression! Get started today without any complicated DNS changes. But how?
In order to set up a domain with Fraudmarc, you need to have control of that domain; you need to be (or work for) the domain owner. This is because you're going to authorize us to make DNS changes for you. If you don’t own the domain, you can't give us permission to change its settings.
Step 1: locate your login credentials
You need to be able to login to the GoDaddy account that was used to register your domain. If you can do that, you have the authority to make changes to DNS yourself, so you can give us permission to make these same changes for you.
Step 2: Click to Set Up
In your domain’s settings within the Fraudmarc app, click the “Set up now!” button, which will take you to this page:
You need to click the next “Set up now!” button on this page. Make sure pop-ups are allowed for Fraudmarc so that you can see the next window that opens.
Step 3: Enter your login credentials
Enter your login credentials into the popup and click “sign in”. You need to use the popup rather than going to the regular login page since the popup window is connected to Fraudmarc and will allow us to make the changes for you.
Don’t worry, the popup is generated and controlled by GoDaddy (look at the URL to verify this). Fraudmarc will never see your login info, nor do we want to know that information. We don’t use passwords for logins and we don’t want to store them either. The popup has an option to connect with Facebook, which works well too.
Step 4: Click to connect Fraudmarc
The next page on the popup asked you to connect Fraudmarc. This click is what authorizes us to make the DNS changes for you.
Once you see the GoDaddy success page, you can close the popup. You should be back on the same page from before the GoDaddy popup. It can take several minutes for Fraudmarc to make the DNS changes behind the scenes, so just hang tight while we do all the technical stuff.
Step 5: You’re Done!
That’s all it takes to set up Fraudmarc for your domain with GoDaddy. The last page you’ll see will show you what comes next. You need to wait for DMARC data to come in aggregate reports for your domain before we recommend making changes to your policies. You can request an email when we’ve received your first DMARC aggregate report, read more about DMARC, or how to implement a Reject policy, or add additional domains. You can also verify that your domain was successfully setup using Fraudmarc's SPF checker and DMARC checker. But mostly you’ll just need to wait on some DMARC data.See? Easy!
You can also set up by logging into your GoDaddy account and replacing your records if you prefer.
